If the sim seems to run smoothly I'm fine with that. 282 Location:Seattle WA OS:Windows X-Plane user since :v10 Posted JI cannot stand staring for hours at X-Planes generic default scenery. I get it running okay and never start an FPS counter, I find them distracting and half the time you just spend trying to get a few frames per second more. Hope this helps, -Rishi Please log inor registerto add a comment. Seems to be more stable and not only for X-Plane.Ĭan't really say what the difference is with regard to FPS as I do not run both plus I do not chase FPS anymore. 1Answer 0votes answeredJul 5, 2016by Rishi Shah(594points) selectedJul 6, 2016by jroberts Best answer Good day, You can re-run/download the installer/updater (found on their main website under downloads), uncheck 'check for new betas' and proceed and you will get 10.45 back. Decided to go for the free upgrade to Windows 10 and apart from a few teething issues (Windows 10 kept wanting to update and then failed and rolled back to previous vers of Win 10) I am actually pleasantly surprised at how well it's performing. I went back to Windows 8.1 Pro from Windows 10. I normally hate Windows, but use it for X-Plane & DCS (only runs on Windows). I have heard professional video editors like the Mac for its image quality. I am wondering if anyone else has had similar experiences with X-Plane 11.30 in its beta releases and can offer an explanation for this behaviour (other than stick with Windows 7 for X-Plane 11.30 and ditch Windows 10!). I have only used a Windows PCs for X-Plane 10 and now 11. My hardware is only modest with an Intel 875K turbo-boosted to 4GHz with multipliers, GeForce GTX1070, and 16GB RAM installed. The installations are exactly the same in terms of the settings in both the X-Plane installations (weather is set similarly in both) and nothing is different about the CPU or GPU clockings in both cases. For my default option for comparison purposes of the FlightFactor A320 at Orbx Southampton RW02 with Orbx True Earth Great Britain South, I get about 38fps in Windows 7 and 30fps in Windows 10. So dont bank on that, outside of the ability to add more RAM for things like HD and UHD terrain mesh. I am running a dual boot PC with X-Plane 11.30r1 installed on two operating systems: Windows 7 Pro 64-bit and Windows 10 Pro 64-bit. With regard to X-Plane, I didnt notice any performance improvements with the move to WIn 10.
